I heard you’re collecting ecobricks, tell me more?

We’re collecting Ecobricks for two local churches. Grab a 2L water or pop bottle and stuff it full of plastic wrapping and packaging - this can then be put to good use, such as building walls. Find our more in the link and drop any Ecobricks you make at our shop.

How much plastic is in your supply chain?

Our aim is to be entirely free from plastic packaging, however a lot of change needs to happen across the whole supply chain for this to happen. For example, some of our dried foods are delivered in plastic, which provides a really good layer of protection against moisture as they move through the supply chain.

But hey, this is still plastic waste, which is a bummer!

We’re working on sourcing alternatives that are packaged in sustainable materials, but where this isn’t possible we’re using this plastic waste for good causes, such as the Ecobricks mentioned above.

After our first month of trading, we can honestly say that we’ve sent no plastic to landfill - something that we will keep at the very forefront of our business. This is what we’re all about!
