We Are Withington

We Are Withington is a small cohort of business owners, residents and other groups that have a vested interest in improving the village.

The group were behind Withington by night which took place at the start of October - an event which encouraged shops to stay open late and provided a night market opposite the library.

Solomons was also buzzing with live music and not forgetting the awesome pop-up pub, The Lock Inn, which drew us in for pints following our stint at the market above.

The purpose of Withington by night was to raise funds for Withington Walls, a street art project that aims to use some of the spaces around the village as a canvas to create a more colourful neighbourhood.

The crowdfund campaign has achieved half of its £5,000 target so far, however there’s still some way to go. If you love Withington, why not chuck in a couple of quid too:
